Pastor Lynda Welch was born in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Lynda was the last of 7 children to be born. Growing up in a coal-mining town had it’s ups and downs and its struggles. Childhood didn’t necessarily mean having all the toys & clothes she needed or wanted, but a strong sense of love & appreciation for people was inside of Lynda from an early age, and this continues to be evident in her ministry today. In 1968, she moved to the big city of Toronto, Ontario. She became a successful business woman, working for companies downtown Toronto in the corporate world.
It was in 1986, that she met the love of her life, Mike. The two then started their journey together. Shortly after they welcomed their one and only child into this world, Melissa. They opened a restaurant in the early 90’s, and this is where it all began - Bible studies, prayer meetings, & Women’s Aglow meetings all become routine at the Junction Family Restaurant. The restaurant become such a success, Lynda was working the restaurant full-time. They soon decided they wanted something more, and that’s when both of them decided to go to Bible School. Lynda graduated with a certificate of Christian Leadership. And is ordained through Open Bible Faith Fellowship.
Lynda has always had a heart and desire to help woman of all ages. She’s been involved with many different ministries and outreaches over the years. She preaches a dynamic word, and has a consistent message to woman all over the globe: God doesn’t make garbage, He has created you with a specific purpose, plan & destiny. She loves helping woman get from where they are, to where they want to be.
Lynda has her certificate from Algonquin College for Manicures & Pedicures, and loves all things at the spa! She’s a girls girl through and through. She enjoys shopping trips with her daughter & friends, she mostly loves shopping for shoes, shoes, and more shoes! She is a huge dog lover, and loves hugs & cuddles from her Shi-Tzu, Elmo. Her favorite vacation spot is Florida, she loves soaking up the sun! Her life motto is to celebrate life everyday.
