Pastor Bryan Paré was born in cowboy country, also known as, Calgary, Alberta. He is an only child, but grew up surrounded by lots of animals - ahem - kids since his mom ran a home daycare program. His family decided to leave the cowboy hats and move to Ottawa, Ontario when he was 2 years old. But the inner cowboy still kicks up when he sees a tractor or a fantastic high stylin’ cowboy hat {who knew?!?!} Bryan grew up with loving parents, who taught him many life qualities & characteristics that ring true in his life today. Of course, high school was a breeze for this champ - although he ran into some trouble when his ego became a bit bigger then his brains. But we all need something that proves we need a Savior, right? At the young & fiery age of 16 he got saved through a persistent-then-annoying-now-appreciative friend, and has never looked back to those big-ego days! Now his brain is in full action and accomplishing greatness for the kingdom of God. Right after highschool he left on a mission trip for England --- He fell in love with the country of England and thought he would never go home again!
But then 2 weeks later he was home.
{sigh}
But then, six months later he was back in England, so there was yet hope that this could be his life establishment.
But then a year later, he found himself back home
{sigh}
But God had everything in control and had a greater plan in the works. God’s plan directed Bryan to attend Bible school, where two years later he graduated with a Christian Ministry Diploma {woohoo!}. So now that he had the posh diploma that stated Christian ministry he went on a quest to find Christian ministry. Which of course, he thought would be in England, because he just loved it so much! [insert high-pitch scream here]
But once again, God had a greater plan.
This plan led him back home to Ottawa, Ontario {of course, he was thrilled that God gave him Canada instead of England} Shortly after his return to the city he became a part of Capital City Church. His heart instantly connected with the vision and he knew then why God had asked him to come back to Ottawa. Then in 2005 when he met his wife Melissa at CCC he really understood why God had asked him to come back to Ottawa. They tied the knot in October 2009 with the wedding of the year! The two of them strive to celebrate life everyday, they are always on an adventure with each other, friends, family & God!
For their honeymoon, they picked Greece to visit, and this was an easy pick since they wanted a place neither one of them had been to before and Greece was one of the few places Bryan hadn’t travelled too. He’s been on missions and vacations around this globe {Thailand, Mexico, Romania, France, Switzerland, England, and etc...}
He volunteered here at CCC for 5+ years serving in any way necessary - often included scrubbing toilets, and getting gum out of the carpet - YUCK! but all that paid off when he became employed at CCC in 2008. Then, he became ordained through Open Bible Faith Fellowship in 2008.
Bryan, with his wife Melissa, holds the title of Youth & Young Adults Pastors, and Bryan also helps with the everyday operations of CCC.
